JerNe’s ReEntry Program

Project RECOVERY: Recovery God’s Way

Project RECOVERY 12-Steps, God’s Way

What is Re-Entry, and is it successful?

The transition from incarceration back into society is often one of the most challenging periods in the life of an individual who has spent time in prison. While the completion of a prison sentence may represent freedom, it also marks the beginning of a difficult journey of rebuilding one’s life. This is itself can create another sentence of adjustment. Individuals returning to society frequently face a wide range of obstacles, including psychological adjustment, employment barriers, housing instability, strained family relationships, and the lasting effects of institutionalization. Without proper support, these challenges can make it difficult for returning citizens to successfully reintegrate into their communities and avoid returning to the criminal justice system. For many individuals, reentry requires not only practical assistance but also emotional, psychological, and spiritual transformation to overcome past behaviors and develop a new path forward.

JerNe desires to walk alongside women who have been justice-involved, but also wants them to understand that God knew the trajectory of their life before they were created. It was all a part of His plan. Incarceration in no way defines a person, but allows them to pay it forward by telling their story. The ministry looks forward to being a resource as the re-entry journey begins. Email us for more details.

What is JerNe’s Project RECOVERY

JerNe uses Scripture that references how we are to treat our bodies (according to the Word of God in I Corinthians 6:19-20, “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your bodies.”) And when we abuse our bodies in any way, fellowship with Him has been broken. You can see this in verse 20, where it talks about our bodies not being our own.

What has happened is, we have allowed something or a thought to invade only what and where God should be. Anything that we put into our bodies or allow to become a mental stronghold that causes pain, or anything that is not conducive to healing and growth, is a sin against God.

All is not lost, and there is good news. JerNe’s 10-week Recovery Curriculum will teach those who are dealing with addictions of any kind how to deal God’s way, and stay that way.
